A New Renaissance: Revival Rooted in Worship and Care

6/2/25, 5:00 PM

The Spirit is stirring—quietly, powerfully—calling us into a kind of renaissance. Not just of art or culture, but of hearts.

Of how we see God.

Of how we love our neighbors.

This is not a call to do more, but to become more—more present, more surrendered, more aligned with the Kingdom that is both already here and still coming.

Revival begins not with noise, but with posture—a heart bowed in worship.

In Romans 12:1, Paul writes, “Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.”

Worship is more than song; it is surrender. A daily dying to self. A daily choosing of faith over fear, love over comfort, and connection over convenience.

In the spirit of revival, we echo the words of the Chalmers Center:

“We are called not to merely serve the poor, but to walk with them, recognizing that we too are broken and in need of healing.”

This is the paradox of the Gospel—that our healing is found not in rising above, but in stooping low. Jesus did not fear the discomfort of proximity. He touched lepers, sat with sinners, washed feet. Our culture teaches us to preserve comfort, but Christ teaches us to pursue compassion.

Philosopher Søren Kierkegaard once said, “Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards.” And we, looking back at the faithfulness of God, walk forward in hope. Hope not in outcomes, but in the One who walks with us.

This is the renaissance we are praying for at CareNetworkCR:

• A revival of compassion in churches.
• A worshipful posture of humility and love.
• A community not driven by fear, but by faith that God is making all things new.

Let us be the people who extend care—not just in handouts, but in heart. Who offer not just resources, but relationship. Who move not by comfort, but by conviction.

May this be the revival we live.

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” – Psalm 34:18

“Perfect love casts out fear.” – 1 John 4:18

Let us walk together—humbly, hopefully, worshipfully—into this new season.
