Small Is Not Small When God Is In It

Dawn Hunter, CNCR Executive Director

What if having a small budget isn't a weakness?

What if it is an invitation to trust God more deeply, steward every dollar more carefully, and respond to our community with greater intentionality?

At CareNetworkCR, we are learning that small can be incredibly powerful.

As a growing organization, we don't have unlimited resources, and we don't want to pretend that we do. Instead, we want to be faithful with what God places in our hands.

Every dollar matters.

Every volunteer matters.

Every church partnership matters.

Every person who calls matters.

Every ESL Student and Pathway Participant working towards skills and community matters.

And every opportunity to respond to a verified need is an opportunity to demonstrate the love of Jesus.

We Want to Grow—But We Want to Grow Well
Our desire isn't simply to become a bigger organization.

Our desire is to become a more effective network of care.

Through the principles we've learned from the Chalmers Center, we recognize that poverty is about more than material resources. True care considers relationships with God, ourselves, others, and creation.

That means we don't want to simply give someone what they need today and walk away.

We want to ask, “What happens next?”

Can a local church walk alongside this family?

Can employment create greater stability?

Can budgeting support change the trajectory?

Can a relationship provide encouragement and accountability?

Can a connection to another ministry address a deeper need?

Sometimes the answer is immediate relief.

Sometimes it is rehabilitation.

And sometimes it is walking patiently toward development and sustainability.

Our goal is to meet people where they are while keeping eternity in mind.

Small Organizations Can Respond
One of the gifts of being a smaller organization is that we can stay close to the people we serve and the churches we partner with.

We can listen.

We can identify gaps.

We can connect resources.

We don't believe CareNetworkCR should be the answer to every need. We believe the local Church is uniquely positioned to provide the long-term relationship and discipleship people need.

Our role is to help connect the pieces.

Churches.
Nonprofits.
Businesses.
Volunteers.
Donors.
Neighbors.

Together, we can steward the resources already present in our community and become more effective in caring for our neighbors.

Your Gift Helps Us Keep Saying “Yes”
When you give to CareNetworkCR, you're helping create the capacity to respond when a need appears.

You're helping us verify needs, connect people to resources, support churches, build up the GAP Ministry, and develop manageable care plans.

You're helping create opportunities for relief to become rehabilitation and, when possible, development.

And because we are committed to trust and transparency, we want you to know that your generosity is not simply funding an organization.

It is helping build a network.

A network where people are known.

Needs are carefully verified.

Resources aren't unnecessarily duplicated.

Churches are equipped.

And the love of Jesus is demonstrated in both word and deed.

Growing in God's Timing
We believe God is growing CareNetworkCR.

But we're committed to growing with intentionality and in His timing.

We don't want to outrun our capacity.

We don't want growth to compromise relationships.

And we don't want bigger numbers to become more important than deeper impact.

We want to remain faithful with today's resources while trusting God for tomorrow's provision.

Because we've seen it again and again:

God doesn't always give us everything we need for the entire journey. Sometimes He gives us enough for the next step.

And then He asks us to trust Him.

Will You Take the Next Step With Us?
This fall, we're inviting our CareNetworkCR family to help us take that next step.

Your gift—large or small—helps us remain responsive, relational, and intentional as we serve alongside churches throughout our community.

Maybe your gift is $25.

Maybe it's $100.

Maybe it's $1,000.

The amount isn't the whole story.

Faithfulness is.

When many people give what they can, God can multiply those gifts into something far greater than any one organization could accomplish alone.

Because small is not small when God is in it.

Join us this fall in helping churches help people effectively—meeting physical and spiritual needs, building relationships, strengthening our community, and keeping eternity in mind.

Give. Pray. Connect. Partner.

Let's see what God will do with what we place in His hands.
